For the sound collage »The Vine« (2024), 14 poets and translators from The Poetry Project explored Elke Erb’s poem »Angekommen in Ahrenshoop« and wove their impressions and translations into Arabic, Kurdish, Persian and Ukrainian into a tapestry of sound.

The Poetry Project is an innovative, literary dialogue project that helps young people from refugee backgrounds to express their experiences in poetry. The project makes particular use of the poetic form to record feelings and stories in verse. Things that may initially seem unspeakable are thus transformed into an artistic dialogue and, conversely, understanding is formed for the seemingly »foreign«.
